Gerberas are also known as a Transvaal, African or Barberton Daisies. These flowers are velvet textured and daisy-shaped, 2 - 5 inches (5 - 12 cm) across with green or dark centers.
They bloom atop single, leafless, tubular stems that are 20 inches (50 cm) or more in length. They can be classified in single and double centered forms and are available in a variety of colors.
Gerberas are popular for creating a bright and festive look in bouquets and floral arrangements of any size. They may also be used alone for a simple yet elegant display. All of Esmeralda's Gerberas are greenhouse-grown year-round at Esmeralda Colombia.
